APAR Shakti FR PVC
Description
OverviewAPAR Shakti FR PVC conductors are drawn from electrolytic-grade annealed bare copper for 100% conductivity and low power loss, and insulated using Twin-Screw technology with a specially formulated FR PVC compound. The result is flame-retardant, melt-resistant, self-extinguishing insulation with high dielectric strength, a service life of over 25 years and excellent flexibility for easy installation. It complies with IS 694 for PVC-insulated unsheathed cables.
APAR Shakti FR PVC single-core flexible wires use an in-house Flame-Retardant PVC compound engineered for safe, versatile low-voltage wiring. A high oxygen index (>29%) and temperature index (>250°C) make the insulation self-extinguishing and restrict flame spread, while high dielectric strength and 100% conductivity copper deliver reliable, energy-efficient performance.

DownloadsFAQs
Good to knowWhat does FR PVC mean?+
FR PVC is Flame-Retardant PVC. Its high oxygen and temperature index makes the insulation self-extinguishing, so the wire does not sustain a flame once the ignition source is removed.
What is it used for?+
Versatile low-voltage wiring — electrical appliances, motors, control panels, DC power transformers, electrical boards and battery cable systems in homes and commercial spaces.
What is the service life?+
Over 25 years under normal operating conditions, thanks to its durable FR PVC insulation and high-purity copper conductor.
Which standard does it meet?+
It complies with IS 694 for PVC-insulated unsheathed and sheathed cables.
