APAR Tarang Shakti Speaker Cable
Description
OverviewTarang Shakti speaker cable is a two core flexible audio cable with bright annealed electrolytic copper conductors, from 0.5 to 2.5 sq mm on 90 m coils. Fine stranding is what lets it be dressed behind skirting and into a terminal block without the ends splaying.
Amplifier to speaker runs are low voltage and low current, so what actually matters is conductor resistance over the length of the run and a clean, tight termination at both ends. Go up a size for a long run to a ceiling speaker or the far corner of a hall. Rated 300/300 V and tested at 2000 V, for -5°C to +70°C in flexing use, with a minimum bend radius of six times the overall diameter.

Standards & approvals
ComplianceA 2-core flexible copper audio cable rated 300/300 V, with a 2000 V test voltage. There is no ISI/BIS product standard for loudspeaker cable, so this cable is manufactured to APAR's internal specification and tested for conductor resistance and insulation quality under the same in-house regime as our wiring cables.
Conductors are multi-wire bright annealed bare electrolytic-grade copper for low resistance over long runs, rated −5°C to +70°C with a minimum bend radius of 6 × the overall diameter.
IS 694:2010 and the ISI mark do not apply to speaker cable.

DownloadsFAQs
Good to knowWhat makes a good speaker cable?+
High-purity, flexible copper with adequate cross-section keeps resistance low, so more of the amplifier's signal reaches the speakers with minimal loss and distortion.
Which size should I use?+
Thicker cable (higher sq mm) is better for long runs and higher power; 0.5–1.5 sq mm suits most home setups, with 2.0–2.5 sq mm for long or high-power runs.
What is the voltage rating?+
300/300 V with a 2000 V test voltage, rated for -5°C to +70°C in flexing use.
