Description

Overview

Shakti Flat Multicore is the PVC flat three core cable for submersible pump sets. Flame retardant insulation and sheath, a high oxygen index and low smoke, in the flat profile that runs neatly down a borewell alongside the pipe. 1.5 to 50 sq mm, on 500 and 1000 m drums.

Most borewell installations in India use a flat cable for one practical reason: a round cable of the same rating bunches against the delivery pipe and the clamps eventually chew through it. The flat profile lies against the pipe instead. If the pump runs long hours in hot water, or the cable is pulled frequently for servicing, the XLPO version, Mahashakti Flat, is worth the difference.

Standards & approvals

Compliance

Manufactured and tested to IS 694:2010, the Indian Standard for PVC-insulated cables for working voltages up to and including 1100 V — which covers multicore cables with both copper and aluminium conductors. Every drum is ISI-marked and BIS-certified.

Flexible annealed bare copper conductors, PVC insulated and sheathed. The flat profile is intended for submersible pump-set installations, where the cable sits flush against the riser pipe.
