Description
OverviewTarang Shakti CATV is a four-pair screened twisted-pair cable for wired data networks. It uses Class 1 solid copper conductors with HDPE insulation, an aluminium-foil screen and a tinned-copper drain wire under a polyethylene sheath, rated from -20°C to +60°C. Although it is sold under the CATV name, by construction it is a Category 5 data cable, not a coaxial cable-television cable.
The aluminium-foil screen and drain wire hold down crosstalk and outside interference, so the cable carries data steadily over office and building runs. Category 5 construction supports frequencies up to 100 MHz. A note on the name, since it causes confusion: this product is sold as CATV, but by construction it is a four-pair twisted-pair data cable, not a 75-ohm coaxial cable-television cable. If your installation needs coaxial cable for a set-top box, splitter or distribution amplifier, ask our team which cable actually fits.
